Florida recognizes ‘Victims of Communism Day’

Florida public school teachers will soon be required to spend at least 45 minutes on Victims of Communism Day teaching students about the suffering populations around the world have gone through under socialist regimes.

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 395 into law on May 10th, 2022. The bill designated November 7th as Florida’s official Victims of Communism Day. It is one of five states to have passed resolutions to recognize the day, along with Alabama, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
